Virtus have been consulted by Bedford Borough Council on how to achieve their carbon reduction targets across their schools. Virtus have provided proposals to combine participating schools as a single entity to optimise and share energy and consultancy expertise and economies of scale and to maximise returns through self-funding energy cost and carbon reducing projects including renewable energy, energy saving lighting, voltage optimisation, energy management, AMR and Infrastructure improvements as well as training. Virtus believe 30% savings can be reached. Bedford borough Council aims to achieve its targets by 2015.
