Virtus are excited to welcome Vlad Nicolescu to their Energy team!
Vlad is a second year student on the Energy Engineering with Year in Industry programme at University of East Anglia. Vlad was looking for the opportunity to gain work experience in the energy industry, to support his degree. He was excited to find that energy consultancy is one of Virtus’ core activities and that he would be closely mentored by an expert engineer giving him the best opportunity to learn and develop.
Since joining, Vlad has been involved in a number of key projects including complex project at Cornbury Park Estate, where he learned the process of installing solar PV panels from start to finish and has been able to develop skills he gained at university such as the ability to approximate, analyse and calculate different variables; to be able to come to a result even with limited information.
Since joining Virtus, no two days have been the same for Vlad so he is constantly learning. Vlad says “Virtus have provided an exciting and unrivalled working and learning environment which I’m proud to be part of”.
