Virtus Consult secures NHS SBS Framework place

Leading multi-disciplinary real estate consultancy Virtus Consult has been appointed to the NHS Shared Business Services (SBS) Framework, after its application to participate in the proposed Framework Agreement was accepted.

Having submitted its proposal in January 2018, Virtus Consult can reach a greater number of public-sector organisations, looking to procure Construction Consultancy Services in the most cost-effective and efficient manner.

The four-year contract, will develop an effective partnership between Virtus Consult and the NHS SBS, providing the business with an opportunity to maximise sales and build working relationships with a number of high-profile members and associates.

Virtus Consult Director, Jan Ponsford, said: “It is gratifying to learn that our all hard work has come to fruition and we have been successful in the specific lots targeted, including: Project Management, Quantity Surveyor, Principal Designer Services and Energy Efficiency and Associated Products.

“Securing the NHS SBS Framework Agreement will ensure more public-sector organisations can now benefit from our experience, expertise and cost-effective services to help them save money on all their future infrastructure and energy efficiency projects.

“Using the Framework means that no formal tendering is required, allowing participants to save valuable time and money during the procurement process, while offering organisations the freedom and flexibility to choose the suppliers they want to work with.

“The Framework will help publicise our business to a much wider customer base, as it is made available free of charge to all public-sector organisations in the UK, including but not limited to the NHS, blue light services, universities, schools and other local authorities.

“From a business perspective, we’re also able to directly offer our services to a group of core members who have paid a fee for the complete portfolio of NHS SBS Framework Agreements, meaning we are targeting customers that are actively seeking professional support.

“Given our industry experience and history delivering projects for a range of public sector clients, we believe the SBS Framework will further solidify our position within the industry, while helping us grow and secure new business.”

Nathan Hodgson, Category Manager at NHS Shared Business Services, commented: “The aim of this Framework is to provide estates, facilities and capital teams a compliant route to the market for the provision of consultancy services from a wide range of specialisms.

“It delivers a range of pricing options for both traditional design and build options, allowing customers to identify the support they require directly – streamlining the entire procurement process.

“We were especially impressed with Virtus Consult’s application and after careful consideration decided to award the NHS SBS Framework to the business on a four-year contract.

“Given its abundance of industry experience and proven track-record delivering projects across a range of different sectors, we are sure that Virtus Consult will experience the true potential of the SBS Framework and the benefits it offers businesses.”
