Virtus Consult has been appointed by Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham to manage their Self Funding Energy Cost & Carbon Saving Programme. Virtus is supporting the Trust, one of the largest in the United Kingdom, to meet reductions in revenue budgets and carbon emission targets. To date we have enabled a guaranteed 20% energy cost reduction and carbon saving across the Trust’s property portfolio through self-funding projects.
We are now managing the final bidder selection process and are on target to commence the savings programme early in 2013 with energy efficiency projects include investment in lighting, controls, heating systems, insulation, heat recovery, energy management and energy awareness campaigns.
