A Bright (Efficient) Future

Virtus have launched their new Energy Management and Renewable Energy services to the Midlands market.

Established in 2006, Virtus have to date been providing Development Management, Project Management and Cost Management services to clients including Rolls-Royce, Taylor Wimpey, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and Amcor.

Announcing the launch of the new Energy Management consultancy services, Director Andrew Ogilvie commented;

“We are seeing that the impact of the recession, the inflexibility of pricing in the energy market and the desire for ethical, low carbon business behaviors is forcing many clients to look very hard at their current and future energy consumption. We believe that the market is looking for companies that can not only provide the technical design, but also professionally manage the technical feasibility studies, provide detailed cost benefit analyses, support grant funding applications, advise on the most appropriate through-life management plan, manage detailed design, procure the new technologies and supporting infrastructure and deliver the new technology to time and budget.”

In the wake of the recent economic downturn it is expected that many companies will be seeking to fund any capital expenditure on renewable technology with revenue savings from elsewhere. Virtus is well placed to support that with their Energy Audits, Energy Monitoring & Targeting products, and Carbon Footprint improvement techniques. In addition the forthcoming UK Government Feed-In Tariff policy will sharply reduce payback periods for renewable technologies.

Andrew comments, “These are incredibly challenging times for most businesses and public bodies. We believe that the Government’s determination to make renewable technologies more viable in the UK provides all businesses and homeowners with an unprecedented opportunity to smarten-up on how they generate and use energy – benefiting not only themselves but also the environment.”
