West Midlands NHS Trust Energy cost and Carbon Reduction Programme Receives Final Executive Approval

Virtus were delighted to receive final executive approval to proceed with the Energy Sustainability Project for one of the largest NHS Trusts outside London. In the heart of the West Midlands Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust are on target to achieve significant energy cost and carbon reductions of up to 25% through competitive dialogue utilising the OJEU process. The trust developing a proactive approach to achieve or exceed its EU-ETS and Carbon Reduction Commitment Targets through the introduction of possible initiatives and technologies include renewable energy, LED lighting, voltage optimisation, load shedding, energy bureau service, metering, sub metering, bill validation, data analysis, energy auditing, benchmarking, performance monitoring, exception reporting, utility contract renewal, heat recovery, renewable technologies, lighting systems, energy from waste, bio fuels, water conservation systems,  rainwater harvesting, building management systems, fabric improvements, insulation,  M&E equipment replacement, energy awareness, working practices, space rationalisation, materials procurement, transport, communication, business culture change etc…
