Despite fierce competition, we impressed the judges by demonstrating our passion for doing things better and our deep routed culture of honesty, integrity and professionalism as well as our determination to provide innovative solutions, best practice and creativity to all of our projects.
We showed that the company is bucking the trend in the worst recession since the 1930s by achieving sustained growth of 42% in income and 34% in profit over the last year with turnover almost trebling in the last 3 years and profits increasing by 246% in the same period.
Virtus was able to stand apart from its peers with an enviable list of blue chip clients in both private and public sectors including Rolls Royce, NHS, Oxford City Council, St Modwen and Standard Life Investments.
We also demonstrated client loyalty, value for money and quality of service with an impressive 98% of our work being won through repeat business. We are also continuing to attract new clients through referrals and our solid values, approach and dependable reputation for going the extra mile.
We have achieved our success by listening to our clients carefully through early engagement and briefing followed up by regular informal and formal client feedback sessions. We recognise that our staff are our greatest asset and demonstrate this through regular social events, rewarding high performance, providing flexibility, support and encouragement as well as offering individual structured personal development programmes. We have a very loyal and hardworking workforce as a result of this.
We have also focussed on growth areas of expertise including energy and carbon reduction and the nuclear sector.
