Salford hospital secures funding

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust has secured £6.9m of funding to support the development of its energy efficiency programme.

The scheme which is set to save the Manchester hospital an estimated £2m per year, will include the installation of a new 2.5MW combined heat and power (CHP) engine, along with a series of energy reduction measures, including LED lighting and the optimisation of the current building energy management system.
