The Heart of England NHS foundation Trust (HEFT) has appointed Virtus Consult to undertake programme management and energy consultancy services for a radical energy reduction programme. Services to be provided include:
- High level options identification of energy reduction initiatives
- High level appraisal of energy reduction initiatives
- Programme management
- Project management
- Procurement
Virtus will be undertaking a revolutionary public procurement strategy of a four year framework agreement to enable HEFT to benefit from guaranteed energy savings with no initial capital investment. Projects targeted have an average payback of 5 years, range from 5 to 15 year terms and will leave the trust with a far improved infrastructure. A 30% reduction in energy consumption has been targeted which considerable is given that the trust already has CHP plant on all three sites.
