Following the success of Nescafé Azera after a product launch in 2012, a new c £150m high speed line is under construction at Tutbury to increase capacity. The line will offer a more automated system with the introduction of a large free standing multifunctional robot, the first one for the Tutbury site! Virtus are undertaking the role of Principal Contractor for the installation of the new line which is currently being installed and is expected to be in full production by Christmas 2013. The line is expected to be 4 x faster increasing outputs from 30 to 120 cans per minute with the potential to increase further. “Recent Nestle Senior Executive visits to the project have expressed their gratitude at how well the project is being managed”
