Virtus have been appointed by Midtown Capital to provide them with Employer’s Agent and Cost Consultancy Services from tender stage through to delivery and adoption on for the provision of major infrastructure and serviced plots to their 620 acre sustainable urban expansion to the north of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The mixed use scheme will eventually deliver c3,000 new homes and includes an extensive green open space network covering over 90 hectares; leisure facilities and sports pitches; a neighbourhood centre with new shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, office and studio space, community facilities and a health centre. The project involves major road works to the A509 – a main road link between Kettering and Milton Keynes and a complicated earthworks strategy involving a significant cut and fill exercise and management of contaminated ground conditions without removal from site all to a tight programme to facilitate delivery of the new school.
