Virtus were appointed by Crest Nicholson to provide Quantity Surveying & Cost Management services for the feasibility stage of Zone 11 of the award-winning Park Central development in Birmingham. Working closely with the Crest Nicholson team Virtus developed cost models to inform development appraisals for the final phase of this major urban regeneration scheme in the heart of Birmingham. Utilising our residential cost modelling tool we were able to provide commercial assurance on various residential mix scenarios for our client. Our commission also included developing “slice studies” to ascertain the most efficient structural solution for the development and also compared the cost of utilising a main contractor with the extant delivery model of utilising the local housebuilding business unit to deliver the scheme.
