Virtus successfully delivered the new £4.5m Hybrid Theatre on behalf of the Heart of England Foundation Trust (HEFT) at its Heartlands Hospital site in Bordesley Green, Birmingham.

Virtus managed the project from inception to completion alongside the HEFT estates and stakeholder teams. Virtus provided specialist knowledge and advice to deliver the project in line with its 9 month build programme and delivered the scheme within its allocated budget.

The new state-of-the-art hybrid operating facility is the first of its kind in the country, the fully laser compliant interactive theatre centres around the world-leading GE Discovery 740 robotic machine which utilises 3D technology, the robot will be used for a range of specialist procedures including keyhole endo-vascular aneurysm repair.
