Crown Commercial Service framework contract win

News of our appointment by North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAngliaFT) to project manage the design and costing exercise for a new Data Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital made the headlines recently.Hinchingbrooke Hospital

The main datacentre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital (HH) lacks the capacity to meet the future needs of the Trust and expansion is necessary to allow the Trust to increase its use of technology in line with its ambitious IT strategy.

Our story appeared on Digitalisation World, Europe’s leading media focusing on the technologies and business issues that impact on the data centre hub.

This is the first contract we have secured through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) procurement framework, which was recently created to help the public sector achieve greater value in construction services.

We have been appointed as one third of a partnership with Building & MEICA Design specialists Wood PLC and IT Technical Specialists, Channel 3 Consulting.

Lead on the project is Virtus Consult Director, Jan Ponsford, who commented: “The Trust is undertaking this important exercise to understand how potential designs could meet their future predicted needs, with accurate costs for the various options available.”

The Trust were impressed by the experience and expertise on offer when we combine our services. It is doubtful three businesses could understand the NHS and the challenges it faces, better than the talent assembled for this project.

If you have need of a similar project to understand better your options, please get in touch. It’s always good to talk design and costs over a coffee.
